Sun Xun has been selected to participate in the Film Festival ‘The Floating Cinema: Extra International’ co-organised by the Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (Manchester) that will take place in Granary Square, King’s Cross, London. Exploring the theme of transient cultures and shifting context, China is one of the three areas being given a specific focus during the event. Sun Xun will thus present two of his most well-known animations, ‘Heroes no longer’ (2008) and ‘Some actions which haven’t been defined yet in the revolution’ (2011) that follow from his practice of addressing alternative histories.
