Edouard Malingue Gallery is exhibiting in the Insights and Encounters sections of the inaugural and highly anticipated . In the Insights section, the gallery will present a solo booth with the highly talented young Chinese oil painter, Cui Xinming (b. 1986) who recently graduated from the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts. Furthermore, the gallery is thrilled to have been selected by international curator Yuko Hasegawa for the Encounters section and will exhibit the neon sculpture Visibility is a trap by renown French artist, Laurent Grasso (b. 1971).  Hong Kong Art Basel is the newest Art Basel show. With half of the participating galleries coming from Asia and Asia-Pacific, Art Basel in Hong Kong assumes a significant role in the international artworld, providing a portal to the region’s artists. The new show gives galleries from around the world a platform in Asia to demonstrate the way they work with artists, and bring their highest quality work to Hong Kong. Known as the gateway between the East and West, Hong Kong ranks among the world’s most dynamic international capitals.  ‘s four exhibition sectors are designed to present an exceptional selection of works, including museum-quality pieces by proven masters and new artworks by emerging artists. Additional exhibitions and events, timed to coincide with Art Basel’s Hong Kong debut, will take place across the city’s thriving gallery scene and in its growing array of cultural institutions.
