Delighted to share Chou Yu-Cheng’s presentation in ‘Contagious Cities: Far Away, Too Close’ at Tai Kwun Contemporary. Presented by Wellcome Trust, and co-produced by the art and heritage teams of Tai Kwun, ‘Contagious Cities’ is a group exhibition curated by Ying Kwok, presenting works that explore the psychological and emotional dimensions of disease and contagion, emphasizing the relationship between people and their ways of life.

‘Contagious Cities’ is both an art exhibition as well as a heritage exhibition addressing the historical context of the bubonic plague, revealing how this relates to the past and present of Hong Kong. Works on view include Chou’s “Refresh, Sacrifice, New Hygiene, Home, Washing, Chou Yu-Cheng, Acrylic, Rag, Scouring Pad, Plate, Image, Album #11” (2018).
