Janaina Tschäpe has been selected for the group exhibition ’Nous’ at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa. Drawing a parallel between feminine art-making and the meditative quality of sewing, the exhibition explores handcrafted art as an extension of daily life, in which each encounter with fleeting and inexplicable emotions serves as a means of catharsis for both the artist and the viewer. On display is Tschäpe’s video work ‘Camaleoas’ (2002). Until September 25.
