01 January 2013 – 31 January 2013 Thirteen works by Fabien Mérelle have been added to the internationally renown Centre Pompidou collection of contemporary art, following a generous donation by Daniel and Florence Guerlain. Fabien Mérelle, who won the Canson Prize for drawing in 2010, creates intricate black ink and watercolour drawings that depict outwardly scenarios, unsettling situations and dream-like occurrences. The Centre Pompidou collection holds more than 90,000 works of art and is the largest collection of Modern and Contemporary art in Europe.
