Su-Mei Tse has been selected to present her installation ‘Moony Tunes’ on Honjima Island as part of the Setouchi Triennale. The Triennale, held across 12 islands in the Seto Inland Sea area, aims to bring vitality back to these islands, which have been losing their unique traditions in today’s globalising world. Su-Mei Tse’s installation, in particular, expresses Honjima Islands’ connection to the great cosmos via the sea through its representation of the ebb and flow of the tides. Tse’s work uses constantly shifting points of view to work towards the notion of harmony.
