Sun Xun has been selected for the seminal group exhibition ‘Ink Art: Past and Present in Contemporary China’ at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, curated by members of the Department of Asian Art. The major loan exhibition of contemporary Chinese art presents works by 35 artists born in China and features 70 works in various media. The exhibition seeks to demonstrate how China’s ancient pattern of seeking cultural renewal through the reinterpretation of past models remains a viable creative path. Sun Xun will present his important animation film Some Actions Which Haven’t Been Defined Yet in the Revolution (2011) that follows a day in the life of a typical Chinese worker that begins with an alarm clock ringing and ends with a bomb exploding.
