Pleased to share that Tao Hui is participating in the group exhibition ‘Assemblage’, jointly presented by Goethe-Institut China and de Art Center. Curated by Xia Yanguo, ‘Assemblage’ charts the phenomenon of migration in China along the parallel axes of urban/rural and foreign/Chinese population movements. Select works by Hao Jingban, Tao Hui, Ming Wong, Wang Chong and Enoch Cheng reflect on the status of immigrants as a “new collective”, and how their interactions with the locals reciprocate and spur new identity cognition. On display is Tao Hui’s work, ‘The Tangible Ones’ (2018).
