Edouard Malingue Gallery is delighted to share Tao Hui and Samson Young’s presentation in the inaugural Sigg Prize exhibition presented by M+, recognising outstanding artistic practices in the Greater China region.
Curated by Pi Li, Sigg Senior Curator, Visual Art, M+, The Sigg Prize 2019 exhibition presents work by the six artists shortlisted for the prize: Hu Xiaoyuan, Liang Shuo, Lin Yilin, Shen Xin, Tao Hui and Samson Young. These artists encompass different generations and geographies and work across a range of mediums, including sculpture, site-specific installation, video, and performance. Their practices articulate clear perspectives on topics that defy easy categorisation, and the work featured in this exhibition addresses pressing questions that resonate across contexts.
