Tromarama is participating in the group exhibition “Root. Indonesian Contemporary Art” at Frankfurter Kunstverein, on the occasion of Indonesia’s appearance as the Guest of Honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2015. Co-produced by the National Gallery of Indonesia and the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, the show also features Joko Avianto, Jompet Kuswidananto and Eko Nugroho. www.nowtime.xyz Through these artists’ new works, deemed exemplars of Indonesian contemporary art, the exhibition engages critically with the nexus between colonial traditionalism and post-reformation modernity.
