馬凌畫廊很高興地宣佈楊嘉輝將會代表香港參與第57屆威尼斯雙年展,呈獻最新作品《楊嘉輝的賑災專輯》(2017),闡述在1980年代,著名娛樂巨星為公益而結集錄製「慈善單曲」的普遍盛行現象。透過集結數個被掩蓋在跨文化語境下、看似無關的政治隱喻,探索社會、哲學及政治等議題,考察了慈善單曲的興起及隨後的沒落。一系列畫作、物件、錄像,和空間聲音裝置及場域特定設置作品,集視覺及聽覺體驗於一體。
由西九文化區M+與香港藝術發展局(藝發局)呈獻。這一系列為威尼斯視藝雙年展創作的新作品由鄭道鍊和郭瑛策展。
